The quarterly engine of a Passive Partnership: how each owner's recorded share moves over a quarter. Set the starting values, then change only the three things that can ever move the register — and watch the start- and end-of-quarter positions update. New to the idea of owning a share? Start with you don't have to own it all.
How much each party owns at the start of the quarter.
Nothing else moves an owner's recorded share — only the index, a top-up, or an independent valuation.
Only three things ever move the register: the property index, a top-up by the Resident Owner, or an independent valuation. The Passive Owner's interest = previous × (1 + index) − top-up. The Resident Owner's interest = new property value − the Passive Owner's interest.
